This Cookie Policy explains how Belloise Hospitality Limited, trading as Number Nine Hotel ("Number Nine", "we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on numbernine.ie. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to work, to remember your choices, and, where you permit it, to help us understand how the site is used. Similar technologies such as browser local storage work in much the same way and are covered by this policy.
Your choices
When you first visit our website we ask for your consent through a cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are always on, because the site cannot function without them. Every other category is off until you choose to turn it on. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by selecting Cookie settings, which also appears in the footer of every page.
Categories we use
1. Strictly necessary (always active)
These cookies are essential for the website and the booking process to work. Under the ePrivacy rules they do not require consent.

2. Functional (consent required)
These remember preferences such as your saved rooms and recent searches to give you a smoother experience. They are loaded only after you opt in. If you do not consent, these features fall back to a basic version.
3. Analytics (consent required)
These would help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so that we can improve it. We do not currently run analytics cookies. If we add them, they will load only after you opt in, and this policy will be updated to list them.
4. Marketing (consent required)
These would let us measure advertising campaigns and show relevant offers on other platforms. We do not currently run marketing cookies. If we enable services such as Google Ads in future, Google Consent Mode keeps them switched off until you opt in.
Third party services
Some pages load resources from trusted third parties. As a technical necessity of delivering their content, these providers may receive your IP address:
- Cloudflare, our content delivery network and security layer.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which serve the fonts and icons used in our design.
- Map tiles from OpenStreetMap or Apple Maps on pages that show our location.
- Our payment providers, such as Revolut and Stripe, which set their own strictly necessary cookies during checkout to process your payment securely.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, including booking, from working correctly. General guidance for the main browsers is available at aboutcookies.org.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] or by post at 9 Merchants Quay, Waterford, X91 ENF7, Ireland.
